Altesse Studio Prestige – 100% Handmade Hairbrush for Repair and Shine

The only hairbrush in the world made entirely by hand using 19th century technique. Shaped, drilled and bristled by artisans in Picardy, in workshops that have carried the trade for six generations.

The bristles are first cut boar, hand tied in an arrangement designed to suit every hair type from the finest to the curliest. Their structure is close to keratin, so they lift the scalp's natural oils and carry them down the lengths. Hair reads smoother, softer and shinier with each stroke. The handle is olive wood, hand oiled with linseed oil and naturally antistatic, so it neutralises static as you brush.

RS Développement consumer study, February 2022, 50 participants, four weeks of daily use morning and night. 92% reported shinier hair and reduced frizz. 87% reported better distribution of natural oils.

THE RITUAL
Work from roots to ends in four sets of twenty five strokes. Twenty five with the head straight, twenty five tilted right, twenty five tilted left, twenty five forward. This stimulates the scalp and carries the oils the full length of the hair.

CARE
Remove loose hair from between the bristles. Dip the brush in lukewarm, lightly soapy water, massage the bristles gently, rinse and dry flat with the bristles facing down. Once a month is enough. When the wood begins to lighten, wipe the handle with two drops of vegetable oil on a soft cloth.
